Featuring a traditional Live Nativity and children’s party with Santa Claus, Hilbert College’s 11th annual Christmas at Hilbert celebration will be held on campus. The Live Nativity, planned at 2 p.m. only outside Franciscan Hall, will bring the Christmas story to life with the Holy Family, shepherds, angels and the three wise men portrayed in a small outdoor stable along with a few animals as part of the nativity scene. Immediately following the Live Nativity, a children’s Christmas party will take place in the Franciscan Hall atrium. Free pictures with Santa Claus will be available and each child will receive a small gift. Face painting, holiday crafts, Christmas cookie decorating and numerous other activities are planned. Cookies, hot beverages and popcorn will also be available. A special Southtowns performance of “Christmas Carousel,” a family holiday show, will be
presented by O’Connell & Company, Buffalo’s critically-acclaimed theater company. The musical

Tiger Tracks Train Show

The RIT Model Railroad Club (RITMRC) will host its third Annual Tiger Tracks Train Show on Saturday and Sunday December 6th & 7th, 2008. The show will feature vendors, operating layouts, a large HO scale Free-Mo setup, hands-on layouts for kids, railroad literature, and displays. The club’s permanent HO scale Rochester & Irondequoit Terminal Railroad, featuring Digitrax Digital Command Control and scenes from the Rochester area, will also be operating.

The show will be held at the RIT Gordon Field House from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Saturday, and 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Sunday. Tickets are $5.00 for general admission, $3.00 for senior citizens, and students and children under 12 get in FREE. All proceeds from the show support on- and off-campus club activities.
