Music with Mar. Classes
Tue. Apr 29 to Fri. Dec 31 2010
Tues. evenings 6:30pm, Wed. mornings 10am
What makes "Music with Mar." different?
The mission of the MwM program is to get more
parents involved with their children in positive
activities while using music to prepare them for
the future!

Music with Mar. is a class where a caregiver and
a child participate together in musical activities
which enhance the four main areas of
development-cognitive, social, motor and
language. A good music foundation , as well as
an all around good academic foundation, is laid
through the use of well thought out lyrics and
movements.

Music with Mar. classes:
*focus on the total development of the
child, and not on musicality
*children learn best through play and
activation of many senses
*provides an environment where the parent
and child are comfortable
*children can start to understand how to
behave in this setting.

"The Lonesome West" by Martin McDonagh
Feb 2010
Th.-Sat. 7:30PM; Sat. 3PM; Sun. 2PM
In this dark and savage comedy set in a small and godforsaken Irish village, a pair of warring brothers lives to torment one another. Following their father’s death in a shotgun “accident,” fueled by pride and poteen, their vicious baiting and violent brawls are merciless and unrelenting. The parish priest, alcoholic and suicidal for reasons of his own, entreats the brothers to reconcile as their squabbling spirals into comedy and chaos. Th,Fr,Sa @ 7:30pm Su @ 2:30
BLACK PEARL SINGS, By Frank Higgins - starring MARY CRAIG and MARY KATE O'CONNELL - directed by KATHLEEN GAFFNEY.In the 1930s, Susannah is a "song collector" for the Library of Congress when she encounters Pearl in a Texas prison. Descended from slaves, Pearl is a living library of forgotten folk songs and looks like Susannah's ticket to fame and fortune. But Pearl has plans of her own, and she uses her songs as currency to negotiate her family's future. Powerful, honest and wryly funny, this WNY premiere play traces the little-known roots of many beloved American songs.

Neil Simon's famous update of this contemporary classic starts with a group of women friends playing their regular game of Trivial Pursuit. This week, the coterie is meeting at the apartment of Olive Madison, a divorcee who freely admits to being a slob. "I leave a mess when I read a book." Late to arrive is Florence Unger, a stickler for detail who would try the patience of a saint, who has unfortunately just become separated from her husband. As life would have it, the slob and the fuss-budget decide to room together - with hilarious results.
