Bee Group Newspapers is Western New York's leader in the suburban newspaper field.We publish nine locally-edited newspapers in the communities surrounding Buffalo, New York.The Amherst Bee was founded in March 1879 and has been owned by the same family for more than 100 years. Through the years our mission has always been to be a vital part of the community. Today we are part of the ever-changing world of the Internet and social media. Each of our nine newspapers has its own website with entirely local content. Merchants can increase their exposure through our many different marketing sources.We have expanded our newspaper distribution in several communities through a limited number of free copies, with 96 percent of these copies being picked up each week. Our readers have a choice in how they received their hometown newspaper. Most prefer the convenience of US mailed home delivery.
