Classified Ads

The deadline for placing classified advertising is Monday at 4pm. You may place your ad anytime up until deadline for your ad to publish Wednesday and Thursday of that same week. The "Finds Under $100." deadline is Thursday, 5pm. Classified display advertising deadline is Friday, 5pm.

Classified advertising may be placed over the phone, on the Bee's website, or by email. Exception is the free Finds Under $100.; no phone calls are accepted for placement of Finds.

You may publish your ad for any length of time from one week to 52 weeks. Repetition is always suggested for greater exposure.

Yes. When a Bee classified ad is placed, your ad automatically publishes in all 9 Bee Newspapers reaching more than 168,000 readers each week. Your ad will be read by individuals and businesses in Amherst, Clarence, Kenmore-Tonawanda, Cheektowaga, Depew, Lancaster, West Seneca, Orchard Park and East Aurora.

In addition to appearing in each of the nine printed newspapers, your classified ad will appear on the Bee website. Bee ads remain online for one week and are updated with the newly published ads each Wednesday.

There are a number of features available to create an ad that commands attention. Some of these are: the addition of a yellow highlight to your ad, creating a bold ad, adding a border, adding a logo, or the addition of full color to your ad.

Absolutely. Your classified advertising consultant will email you a layout of your ad, whether it be a line ad, bold ad or display ad, simply by requesting one.

The Bee's FREE "Finds Under $100." is a marketplace of merchandise for sale with an asking price of under $100. Perfect for selling those odd items around the house which are no longer needed, you may place up to two free ads per week, which publish for two weeks each. This is a free service of Bee Newspapers and has been a part of our papers for more than 15 years. "Finds" may be placed online or by utilizing the coupon found in the paper each week. No phone calls are accepted on this free ad placement.

 The Bee Newspapers does not publish advertising for weaponry of any kind, recreational or otherwise. Advertising of all kinds is subject to review by Bee Newspapers.

 You may add a logo, artwork, border, photo, or anything that will provide your ad an edge and the recognition your business deserves. Many businesses are recognizable immediately from their logo, so go ahead, add your company logo!

 A yellow color highlight is available as well as full color for purchase. Color is made available at a very economical rate. Ask your classified consultant.

 The Bee publishes a vast number of garage sales each year, especially during peak season when hundreds can be found in the Bee. The Bee is the turn-to place for garage sale go-ers in the area. If you are a home delivered Bee subscriber, as a subscriber benefit and gift from the Bee, you may place two free 3-line garage sale ads per year. If you would like to take advantage of this great benefit, just mention to your advertising consultant that you would like to subscribe prior to placing your garage sale ad.

 Bee Newspapers offers, at no charge, free Lost & Found ads and Class Reunion Notices as a community service, as well as the subscriber benefit of free garage sale advertising.

 Due to our production schedule, the classified advertising deadline is usually early in the event of a holiday. The Monday, 4pm deadline is normally adjusted to the preceding Friday at 3pm. Please consult the newspaper and this website in event of a holiday.

 Repetition in advertising shows consistency, dependability and reliability. The more often that your ad is seen by the public, the greater the exposure and greater effect your ad has on potential customers. Consistency shows commitment to your business and community.

 The Bee offers a number of discounts for multiple week runs. Discounts are available for 4, 13, 26 and 52 week runs.
